      Juvenal de Holanda Vasconcelos, known as Naná Vasconcelos, musician and composer is internationally recognized as the greatest percussionist in the world. Naná is a Pernambuco from Recife, born on August 2, 1944.

      He was a master of the berimbau, a well-known percussion instrument of African origin, which accompanies capoeira. He began to take an interest in the berimbau, casually, after participating in the folk musical Memórias de Outros Cantores, held in 1966 in Recife.
